Outlander Series – Books 1-8 by Diana Gabaldon

I read the first Outlander book when it was first released and followed the series as each volume was released. After watching the first two episodes of the television series, I reread all 8 books, enjoying them even more than the first time I read them. They are wordy at times but compelling nonetheless. I highly recommend you take this time bending journey with the main characters of this series. In addition, the relationship between Claire and Jamie is informative in terms of male/female balance and a wonderful example of soul mates who overcome all obstacles and remain true to each other at the deepest level.
